DUBAI AIRPORT HAS JUST ANNOUNCED ITS FIRST RESIDENT DJ STARTING THIS WEEKEND!
There’s a party taking place at the Dubai International (DXB) Airport – and you’re not going to want to miss out on it!

In what has to be a monumental move for the world’s busiest airport, DXB just introduced its first ever airport DJ residency in a bid to promote its musicDXB platform.

So, starting this weekend, DXB will be teaming up with award-winning British DJ duo Hollaphonic who will be taking up a monthly residency at the fabulous airport.

The Dubai favorites will also be working on the musicDXB project that will see 250,000 daily visitors being treated to free live music concerts, hosted by both regional stars as well as famous international acts.

Hollaphonic are slated to begin their residency this weekend with two, two-hour sets, and will also be playing alongside other confirmed artists later –  much to the delight of fans who will get a chance to watch the dance music duo playing all their hits live at the airport.

As the first homegrown act to be signed on to a major record label in the Middle East, Hollaphonic’s long-term partnership with DXB should help in attracting big headliners to the airport which has travellers passing through from all over the world.

If you’re wondering where you’ll be able to see the acts, Matt Horobin, Brand Director at Dubai Airports, released a statement saying: “This will be a roaming stage. Decks have been set up at various points within the airport and the programme venue will flex week by week on the basis of traffic and seasonality.”

The first two gigs will be taking place on Thursday, April 4 and Saturday, April 6, with DJs Scott Forshaw and Mark Shakedown performing next weekend. Looks like we’ve found a whole new reason to travel again.
