Analog Room is honored to present you the region debut of one of the most influential electronic music artists of our era, the One and Only Egyptian Lover.
Egyptian Lover’s style has been frequently imitated and rarely replicated. A king of freak-funk, he’ll be highlighting the continued dancefloor impact of his electro classics and more in a hybrid live/DJ set at STEREO ARCADE.
He will be playing the main slot in ROOM 1 after Analog Room's resident and the local hero, Nasrawi.
ROOM 2 will be full on with a b2b set of Siamak Amidi and TODD.
This is a historic night and we cannot wait to have it.

Egyptian Lover – real name Greg Broussard – is a pioneer of the US electro scene. Synonymous with the Roland TR-808, Broussard made history with his singles Egypt Egypt (1984) and Freak-A-Holic (1986).
At Club Radio, Afrika Islam said he knew Afrika Bambaataa so Egyptian Lover took his chance and asked Islam how Bambaataa got his Planet Rock sound. Islam said it was made using a Roland TR-808. Islam took him to a store where the owner programmed the Planet Rock beat into an 808. "I bought it right there, went home, programmed the whole 808 full of beats, brought it to Uncle Jammy’s party and played it. I own that [original machine] and five more," he says.
