The first single from Ross, "Hustlin'," became a smash hit, due to the hypnotic line "Every day I'm hustling" repeated throughout the song. The single was eventually certified gold, an impressive feat for a brand new recording artist. The song sparked a bidding war between multiple rap labels looking for their next superstar. Def Jam Records, headed by executive Jay-Z, won the battle, signing Ross to a highly publicized record deal.
Ross debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Albums Chart with his premiere album, Port of Miami, in 2006. His sophomore album, Trilla (2008)—named as a tribute to his idol Michael Jackson’s popular album Thriller (1982)—also debuted at No. 1. With his success, Ross became more of a presence on the tour circuit and in the press. He began to write, perform and collaborate with a wide range of popular acts including Jay-Z, R. Kelly, Flo-Rida, Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy and several others.

Joining the ever-growing league of super-clubs in the city, BASE has made its mark on the Dubai nightlife scene since its launch in September 2017.
The award-winning club has found a home in the Dubai Design District (d3), and has pulled out all the stops to make sure club-goers in Dubai city have something to look forward to every weekend.
With its state-of-the-art sound, light and pyrotechnic systems in place, BASE offers an unbeatable visual experience for its audiences, revolving around the elements of ice and fire, and set against the backdrop of electrifying tunes.
This Dubai night club has also launched its weekly LYFE series of performances that features dancers playing with fire, an enthralling light show and of course, some big names in the music industry.
The venue has already hosted class acts such as Afrojack and Rick Ross in the past, and continues to rope in international DJs and artists for clubbing nights that are quite unlike any other in Dubai city.
BASE Dubai has had a revamp with help from Spanish street artist Demsky who is
known for his funky, futuristic designs – a trend that can be prominently seen all over the Dubai night club.
