RUSS, the DIY pioneer himself, will perform live in UAE on Saturday, April 29 - the eclectic Atlanta phenomenons' rapid ascent was anything but accidental. Russ made all the beats. He wrote all the raps and the hooks. He engineered and mixed and sang the songs, played the guitar, programmed the drums, and delved deep into his soul to figure out who he is and what he wants out of life. Then he wrote manifestos like “Do It Myself” and "What They Want" to outline the road map for others to follow. This live show will mark Russ' first performance in the UAE. 1520 emphasizes the current global renaissance of urban culture, while referencing the depth of the history of Hip Hop. 1520 aims to encompass the sweeping worldwide trend towards this genre of music, while encouraging emerging international artists to visit the region, and local artists to pursue their talents. 1520 represents the birth of this movement in the Middle East.
