A DRY NIGHT HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED IN DUBAI THIS WEEKEND!
Making plans for the weekend in Dubai? This is something you should know about.

A dry night will be observed all over the city starting from 5:30pm on Friday, November 8 and will go on until 6:30pm on Saturday, November 9.

According to a circular issued by the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), all licensed venues in hotels and restaurants have been advised to refrain from serving alcohol during the period specified.

The announcement has been made to mark the Prophet’s (PBUH) birthday which will fall on Saturday, November 9–it’ll be a public holiday for those who work on Saturdays.

In Abu Dhabi, operations will continue as normal with government officials having announced earlier last year that licensed outlets will not be observing a dry night during religious occasions.

A five-day weekend has also been confirmed for Commemoration Day and National Day starting from Friday, November 29 until Tuesday, December 3.

Here’s the full list of holidays announced by The UAE Cabinet for 2020:

Eid Al Adha – Zul Hijjah 10-12
