The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has confirmed a dry night in Dubai for the Hijri New Year weekend.
Bars and restaurants across the city are expected not to serve alcoholic beverages from 6:30pm on Wednesday, August 19 until 7:30pm on Thursday, August 20.
It is important to note that any parties or entertainment activities are also strictly prohibited during this period.
The UAE has announced that public and private sector employees will get a day off to mark the Islamic New Year.
Sunday, August 23 will be a paid leave for all workers across the country.
