If you ever dreamed of becoming a social media influencer, you should probably get to it right away. With property developer Emaar having unveiled its latest attraction – a Hollywood-style ‘Walk Of Fame’ – influencers in the region are soon going to be vying for a coveted star alongside celebrities.
Set along the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, the first phase of the mega project titled ‘Dubai Stars’ will be launched sometime in October and, in true Dubai style, will have over four times the number of stars than its Hollywood counterpart.
Expect the launch to be a dazzling affair, with 400 of the featured celebrities in attendance, along with the city’s favorite influencers – all of whom will be voted for by the public through an online nomination process.
The project aims to pay tribute to eminent personalities from various fields such as music, film, art, architecture, sports and literature, in addition to social influencers.
Emaar’s placing high expectations from its ‘Dubai Stars’ project with the hope that it will become one of the city’s ‘most-visited tourist attractions’.
Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Managing Director of Emaar Properties, spoke of this latest project: “With Dubai Stars, we are further highlighting our commitment to making Dubai the best city in the world, and to promoting arts, culture and sports by saluting the stars, whose contributions continue to inspire the world.”
