OMG! CAN YOU BELIEVE THESE MUSIC VIDEOS WERE SHOT HERE IN DUBAI?!
With its perfect blend of uber-cool architecture and wide open deserts, it’s not surprising to find many international artists choosing the UAE as the ideal location for their music videos. Let’s take a look back at some of the videos that featured the UAE as a spectacular backdrop:


Cardi B – Bodak Yellow

This Grammy-nominated song catapulted Cardi B into rap history by making her the fifth female rapper to lead the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. In the video, Cardi can be seen wearing an abaya and riding a camel through the desert. The video went on to get nominated at the BET Hip Hop Awards and iHeartRadio Music Awards.



Wiz Khalifa – So Much

Fans of the American rapper, Wiz Khalifa were thrilled to find out that the video for his 2016 hit ‘So Much’ was shot in Dubai. The video shows Wiz feeding baby tigers, riding ATVs in the desert and lounging by the poolside. Before the release, the rapper dropped a tweet saying, “You guys are gonna be so happy”. We sure were!



Flash – Tinie Tempah

When one of the hottest rappers in the biz decides to shoot a music video in Dubai, you know it’s going to be one that will feature luxury at its best. Well, that’s what you can expect from Tinie Tempah’s video for his song, ‘Flash’. Think yachts, luxurious cars and gorgeous landmarks such as Atlantis and the Burj Al Arab. You’ll find it all in this video.



Imagine Dragons – Thunder

Filmed extensively in the Dubai Design District, American band Imagine Dragons set many tongues wagging when they shot the video for their song ‘Thunder’ in Dubai. The black and white video features various areas of the city including City Walk, Sheikh Zayed Road, Gold Souk and Dubai Marina.



Karl Wolf – Get Your Own Way

When Lebanese-Canadian singer Karl Wolf dropped the music video for his track ‘Get Your Own Way’, fans were able to recognize some all-too-familiar images. The video shows Karl driving around with Dubai’s skyline in the background. There are also some really cool shots taken in Hatta. Check it out!
