Those infected with the COVID-19 in Dubai should approach and report to the Ministry of Health and Prevention, and other authorities. A hefty fine of AED 10,000 to 50,000 will be charged as well as a prison sentence if COVID-19 patients fail to do so.

The UAE Federal Public Prosecution has announced the new rule for COVID-19 patients on Twitter with the following:

“If a person is infected with one of the [communicable] diseases mentioned, the patient and his close contacts should go to the ministry or other health authorities to receive medical treatment, advice and awareness of the risks of infection and the ways of transmitting the infection,”

Self Isolation in Dubai is mandatory for those infected with the virus. If symptoms are not developed since testing, quarantine is a must for 10 days (previously 14 days). If you have come into contact with a confirmed case of COVD-19 in Dubai but have not developed any symptoms, self isolation is a must for 10 days.
