As the UAE celebrates its 48th National Day today with a dazzling display of fireworks scheduled to take place at a number of venues in Dubai, we know exactly where you need to be tonight. Just make sure you’re carrying your camera with you.
La Mer
There’s a two-day celebration planned at the popular beachfront destination, La Mer on Sunday, December 1 and Monday, December 2 for National Day. The fireworks will be starting at 8:30pm on both nights, and you can always stick around a little longer for dinner. You’ll be spoiled for choice, that’s for sure.
The Pointe
Nothing could be better than watching the sky light up over the Palm Jumeirah hotspot on Monday, December 2. The Pointe boasts a number of restaurants that overlook the majestic Atlantis, The Palm–making this the perfect spot to chill during the long weekend.
Al Seef
If you happen to be closer to old Dubai, you can always head over to Al Seef on Sunday, December 1 and Monday, December 2 for a dazzling fireworks display over Dubai Creek. The fireworks are scheduled at 8pm on both nights–you’d be wise to arrive super early though.
The Beach, JBR
Now that the weather is cooler, you can always hit the beach at JBR on Sunday, December 1 and Monday, December 2 for an epic National Day fireworks display. Starting at 9pm on both days, simply grab a beach chair, sit back and relax.
Global Village
Popular with both tourists and residents alike, Global Village will be hosting a spectacular fireworks display on Monday, December 2 at 9pm. You can make a day out of it as the multicultural festival park will be open from 4pm until 1am.
