Having had many incarnations over the years, Industrial Avenue is set to be given a new lease of life with the completion of its new makeover. Looking to buck the trend of the majority of Dubai’s clubs tending to opt for VIP treatment and bottle service the new look Industrial Avenue is taking aim at the cities underground club scene and they have a launch party of epic proportions planned this Wednesday(August1st).
Kicking off with the first edition of their weekly underground house and techno party Kovert the are flying in hot shot producer Riaz Dhanani, having released on such illustrious labels such as Steve Lawler’s VIVa Music, Defected and Elrow Music he will be supported by local hero Maks and UK based selector Adam Cotier. Concentrating on taking the venue back to basics and establishing the club experience of days gone by, the focus will very much be on quality of music and bringing a stripped back aesthetic to The Westin, MinaSeyahi, so don’t expect any flashy tables or sparklers at these parties as you will be sorely disappointed.
The next night (Thursday, August2nd) there will be the launch of the club’s weekly hip hop night Steezy. The golden age of hip hop was a special time in music and for the first of their weekly shindigs DJ’s Colione, 1 Take Nnandos and Crown Prince will be providing the hits for this particular party. Another massive part of clubs’ ethos is the calibre of the sound system that they will be employing and the same booming Pioneer Audio sound system that has been installed in Fabric’s Room 2, that is quite a coup for Dubai considering that perhaps this is not high on the agenda of some new venues.
Entry for both parties will be free of charge and will run from 11pm to 3am.
