Breaking: Bars And Pubs In Dubai Not Allowed To Serve Alcohol

Breaking: Bars And Pubs In Dubai Not Allowed To Serve Alcohol
Dubai authorities have confirmed that starting today, Wednesday, June 24 all bars and pubs in the city must stop serving alcohol until further notice.

The decision is reported to have been taken due to the flouting of social distancing rules at some of the venues in Dubai.

With the UAE having lifted most restrictions in the past few weeks, strict guidelines have been issued to ensure the safety of the public. This includes wearing face masks and maintaining a distance of two meters at all times.

This latest development has taken place less than a week since Dubai Police announced that all licensed bars and restaurants in the city were permitted to serve alcoholic drinks again.

As Dubai Tourism inspectors continue to monitor venues, a number of establishments have been shut down for failing to comply with the new rules and regulations.

Restaurants with trade licenses can continue serving alcohol with food, provided all the general precautionary measures are in place.

Drinks need to be served in disposable glasses and bottles are not allowed to be served yet.

Dubai is gearing up to welcome tourists back from Tuesday, July 7.
