ARTIST PROFILE: JAMIE JONES

ARTIST PROFILE: JAMIE JONES

Welsh DJ, producer, label head, promoter and general all round legend Jamie Jones has made an indelible mark on house music that very few people can lay claim to in modern times. From his formative years in Ibiza, this quickly lead to the Welsh artist becoming one of the mainstays at infamous DC10 party Circoloco and paved the way for him to reach world-wide audiences, but this was only the beginning.

In the 2 short years since joining the Circoloco team in 2008, Jamie Jones went on to rise to the very top of electronic music and with early tracks like 911, Summertime and his best-selling remix of Azarii & III’s “Hungry for the Power” Jones was hot property by the time he launched his Hot Creations label in 2010. His game changing imprint has, as well as propelling his name and brand in to the stratosphere also helped to shine a light on emerging talented artists such as Waifs and Strays, Russ Yallop, Richy Ahmed, Infinity Ink, his partner Lee Foss and more recently the Newcastle juggernaut that is Patrick Topping.

Jones’ Hot Creation parties are the stuff of legend but they all seem to be eclipsed by his heavy weight Paradise parties. Where before the onus was on emerging talent the Paradise brands go straight for the jugular and offer more like a one day festival the line ups are so deadly. For the very first time in the region, Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE will be the location for the inaugural Paradise party on Friday, April 6th and will feature Jamie Jones, Tiga, Richy Ahmed, Matador (live), Stacey Pullen, DOP (live), Rodriguez Jr. (live), Mark Jenkyns as well as an extended cast of residents. This party will start at 10am and will run all the way through to 1am. Make sure you get there early for some special sets across the BMI terrace as well as the upstairs swimming pool.
