Dubai Night have been lucky to be given an exclusive news scoop that on Friday, September 28th, Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE and their eye-popping 7thseason will be welcoming back to Dubai one of the most influential African artists of recent times – Black Coffee. The South African maestro has been packing them in at his new home – Hï every Saturday, which was previously a day on the island that was not normally known for hugely successful club nights.
Having recently produced a track with David Guetta, “Drive” will indefinitely see Black Coffee crossing over to a more commercial audience and further cement him as a truly world class artist. The South African’s feel good productions could also potentially signal a changing of the guard and a move away from the more abrasive EDM style that has dominated electronic music in the charts.
Joining Black Coffee behind the decks will be fellow South African artist Themba. Having blown on the scene earlier this year with releases for illustrious labels such as Yoshitoshi and Knee Deep In Sound, Themba is looking to follow in the footsteps of Black Coffee and he is going the right way about it. With Black Coffee not having performed at Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE since 2016, this is surely to be one of those BMI events where the atmosphere is electric from beginning to end.
