INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS IN TOWN THIS WEEKEND

INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS IN TOWN THIS WEEKEND

AKON
American singer Akon is no stranger to these shores and his previous performances at WHITE Dubai caused quite the roadblock. Giving stirring renditions of chart hits such as “I Wanna Love you” and “Smack That” elevates Akon’s sets to such lofty heights that when he takes to the stage he is often the talk of the town, so make sure you are front and centre on Friday, September 28th.

AMINE EDGE & DANCE
Regulars at Café Mamboin Ibiza this pair of artists have been carving out a bass orientated niche for themselves that has seen them rub shoulders with the biggest and the best. The fact that Amine Edge & DANCE scooped the coveted Bass category in the 2016 DJ Awards speaks volumes of their production and performance prowess. You can catch them in action on Friday, September 28th at Café Mambo, Soho Garden.

ANDREA OLIVA
Taking care of business on Thursday, September 27th at Soho Gardenis an artist that has successfully made the transition from resident to headlining act via his standout out sets for ANTS and pretty much everywhere else Swiss maestro Andrea Oliva is booked to play around the world.

BLACK COFFEE
The South African superstar Black Coffee has made the difficult step from touring DJ to cross over ultra-brand in last few years and his residency at Hi in Ibiza and his recent afro-pop collaboration with David Guetta will surely cement his meteoric status. He will be holding court at Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE on Friday, September 28th.

ORBITAL
One of the original UK electronic bands that helped to create this thing we call dance music and what a trail they have blazed in the process. Orbital’s live performances and unique renditions of tracks such as “Chime”, “Belfast” and “Halcyon” as well as their new album have truly paved the way and inspired all those that have come along since. To sample a true slice of electronica history you can catch them live and direct from the Groove on the Grass season 7 opener on Friday, September 28th.

SHOLA AMA
Song stress Shola Ama was and is a quintessential UK R&B artist and her tracks such as “You Might Need Somebody” and “You’re The One I Love” captured the hearts and charts of the UK in late 90’s. She will be performing live at Atelier M, Pier 7on Friday, September 28th will reignite those soulful vibes from years gone by.

TINIE TEMPAH
Disturbing boss and London rapper TinieTempah will be in town on ThursdaySeptember 27th to oversee and set off his own party at WHITE Dubai. With his party now demolishing Thursday nights now instead of Fridays after moving days from last season, this is not a party you want to miss. The stage production alone is enough to make the trip over to Meydan Racecourse

6IX9INE
This unconventional American rapper has never shied away from controversy and 6ix9ine is as outlandish as they come. His debut performance at BASE Dubai(D3) on Thursday, September 27th will be his first in the Middle East and if his performance is half as colourful as his appearance those in attendance are in for one hell of a show.
