You can only expect NYE celebrations in Dubai to be GRAND this year with a global survey having ranked the city as the THIRD most expensive destination to celebrate New Year’s Eve.
According to the results of the survey carried out by Cheaphotels.org, visitors end up paying an average of $272 per night on hotels – that’s around AED 999 per night!
This was calculated based on the most affordable double room available in Dubai from December 30, 2018 to January 2, 2019. As a rule, only hotels with the following were included in the survey – a city-center location, three stars or more and average positive guest reviews.
Dubai came behind two other big cities on the list – Miami Beach in the US and Sydney in Australia. Miami tops the list with an average of $281 (AED 1,032) being spent per night, followed closely by Sydney at $274 (AED 1,006) per night.
The most affordable destination turned out to be Bogota, the capital of Columbia, where you can find hotels as cheap as $27 (AED 99) per night on New Year’s Eve. Unbelievable, isn’t it?!
