NEVER STRUGGLE WITH NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS AGAIN!

NEVER STRUGGLE WITH NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS AGAIN!
It’s that time of the year again – when you re-evaluate your life’s choices and contemplate making better ones in the coming year. If you’re the sort who’s been struggling to stick to your New Year’s resolutions, don’t worry you’re not the only one.

The key to achieving your goals is to firstly, set realistic ones and secondly, to take things one day at a time. So, we’re bringing you a list of simple and doable New Year’s resolutions that will leave you feeling stronger, healthier and happier in the new year. Good luck!

Lose Weight
Getting in shape is one of the most common NYE resolutions around the world. It’s simple to start a diet and exercise program, the hard part is sticking to it, so choose something that you will enjoy doing, and help yourself by using apps and technological devices.

Eat Healthier Food
This ties in with the previous resolution, but even skinny people may be eating unhealthy food. Think about how and why you eat as well as what you eat, and check the fat, salt, sugar and calorie content of what you are putting in your mouth.

Meet New People
Meeting new people can be of benefit to your social life, but can also help with networking. Sports clubs and hobby clubs are great places to go and meet new, like-minded people, i.e. if you don’t enjoy going to clubs and bars.

Earn More Money
Even if you don’t want to change your job, you can always earn more money. Whether by taking on freelance work or an extra part-time job, you can start earning additional cash.

Change Your Job
If you feel stuck in a rut professionally, you may be thinking about changing your job or even taking on something completely different. Have a real think about what you want to do with your life, and then research exactly what you need to do to make that a reality.

Give Up Smoking
Smoking is not only bad for your health and that of people around you but it’s bad for your wallet too. If you want to stop, look at smoking cessation groups and devices such as nicotine patches and e-cigs to help you beat the initial cravings. If you want to stay off, you will need to replace smoking with something else, so this is the best time to get into sports or a hobby.

Stop Or Reduce Drinking
After the Christmas and New Year festivities, stopping or reducing alcohol intake is at the top of many people’s New Year’s resolutions. If you drink a lot, you should speak to a health professional before you stop completely as you could endanger your health. If you just want to cut down, swap alcoholic drinks for soft drinks, and change what you do to socialize. You can also limit your alcohol intake to a certain amount of drinks a week, or watch your units. Make sure that you don’t drink more than 14 units of alcohol a week.

Get More Sleep
Everybody uses electronic devices such as mobile phones, iPads and computers, but many don’t realize that the light they emit can stop you from getting a good night’s sleep. Try and put your phone down at least an hour before bedtime, and give your body and mind time to relax.

Switch Off the TV And Read More
While we love Game of Thrones as much as anyone else, we often find ourselves wasting valuable time watching crap TV. Reading a good book can educate you, energize you, intrigue you or even scare you if you’re a fan of Stephen King books. It’s also a great way to have some ‘me’ time and chill out.

Learn A New Language
Learning a new language is not only great for meeting new people, it can improve your chances of getting a job and it boosts brain health and self confidence. It also gives you an excuse to go traveling so you can try out your new language skills.
