Fans of the popular French band, The Gipsy Kings are in for a treat next month – the band has confirmed its gig at Dubai Opera on Wednesday, March 6th.
Known for massive hits such as “Djobi Djoba” and “Bamboleo”, the group has come a long way since the debut of their album, ‘Gipsy Kings’ which went on to become certified gold and platinum around the globe.
It was also one of the few Spanish albums to have spent forty weeks on the US album charts following its release.
The group holds the unique distinction of introducing the world to ‘Rumba Gitano’ – a style of music that incorporates South America’s rumba rhythm together with flamenco guitars.
Having achieved worldwide fame with their string of hit albums, The Gipsy Kings are no strangers to sellout gigs in Dubai – tickets for their shows back in 2012 and 2016 were sold out within days.
Even though the band’s lineup has constantly changed over the year, they will still be fronted by original member André Reyes at the Dubai concert.
