Sakshi Nath is a woman of the world, an entrepreneur and lifestyle enthusiast. After completing a Bachelors in Science and Masters in Fashion Design, Sakshi began her entrepreneurial journey, co-founding African Fish in Lagos with her husband, Bhupender Nath in 2000. She has since been involved in several NGO’s like Vama Wave and SOS, raising funds for the education of children.
Being passionate about food and fashion, Sakshi, over the years has been partially involved in numerous F&B and fashion projects, but always dreamt of having her own restaurant. In 2013, she decided to bring life to her dream and started working on the concept.
Originally of Indian descent, Sakshi was inspired by her travels and love for gourmet, to create a revolutionary fine dining experience that would bring a modern twist to the traditional style and flavours of Indian cuisine, minus the guilt of a heavy meal. And so began the birth of Tresind.
Together with a power team of the finest creatives, chefs and mixologists, Sakshi worked tirelessly to create the ultimate blend of food culture, experience and design. Sharing in her vision for modernist Indian cuisine, was Executive Chef Himanshu Saini, whose signature style and progressive technique was a natural fit for Tresind’s concept. He recently secured the award for “The Best Young Chef” at the Delhi Gourmet Club’s Top Chef Awards (2014) and has been mentored by some of the biggest names in Indian cooking.
But of course, Sakshi also knew that a true experience lies in matching ambience to the quality of the food. With pristine attention to detail, Tresind’s décor reflects copper accents and hints of Indian motif to complement the cuisine. By day, a corporate setting suitable for a business lunch or afternoon tea. At night, it’s mood lit lounge, DJ set up and views of the Sheikh Zayed Road skyline, provide an ideal venue for a candle lit dinner or partygoers hotspot. Even the beverage list is crafted to tie in to the underlying flavors and aromas of India, with experiential elements of smoke infused cocktails and subtle spice to delight the senses.
All in all, Tresind offers a one of a kind experience, that will tease your taste-buds, engage you visually and change any preconceived notions you’ve ever had about the Indian cuisine.
